One of the most essential commodity during the lock down period is your personal/ office laptop. Below are couple of tips to keep your laptop cool during this period -
1) Switch off your laptop everyday - As simple as it sounds, this is one of the most effective way to keep your laptop cool.
2) Use Second Display Wisely - If you have an additional monitor, connect it only when its required as it would create an additional load on your laptop.
3) Use Laptop Stand - Either use an existing one or create one at home. Egg carton case works too
4) Avoid using it on bed or lap - Place the laptop on an even surface,like a table as this helps in proper flow of air into the laptop
5) Use a Mini-Fan, Table Fan or A/C - Direct it towards your laptop as it would help your laptop stay cool
6) Clean your laptop - Clean the air vents on the bottom and on the sides on a weekly basis. This would allow clean flow of air.
7) Change Power Setting if it overheats frequently - For Window - Click on Start > type edit power plan > change advanced power settings > processor power management > Maximum Processor State > Set it between 60% to 70%
8) Avoid laptop case - If you have any additional laptop accessory/case should help ease the airflow.
